All organizations have allocated company assets for their employees. This article comprises a step-by-step guide to keeping track of these assets and further managing these assets.
Step 1 : Navigate to Admin - Users - Assets
Step 2 : Select the employee profile whose assets need to be viewed and managed by clicking the “Select Employee” button
Step 3 : Once the employee is selected you will be redirected to a page displaying all the assets allocated to the employee
Add Asset
Once you have followed steps 1 to 3 you can add new assets to the respective employee.
Step 4 : Click the “Add Asset” button on the upper left corner of the screen
Step 5 : Fill out the details of the asset by providing a name and description of it
Step 6 : Click the “Create” button to complete adding that asset
Once these instructions are followed you will be able to view the basic details of the newly added asset.
Edit Asset
Once you have followed steps 1 to 3 you can edit any allocated asset
Step 4 : Navigate to the relevant asset entry that needs to be edited
Step 5 : Find the field “Actions” and click the icon that symbolizes an edit
Step 6 : Update the necessary details and if the asset is returned select the relevant option
Step 7 : Click the “Update” button to save the updated details
Once these instructions are followed you will be able to the relevant edits being reflected on the assets page.
Delete Asset
Once you have followed steps 1 to 3 you can delete any allocated asset
Please note: Once an asset has been deleted, you will be unable to retrieve it
Step 4 : Navigate to the relevant asset entry that needs to be edited
Step 5 : Find the field “Actions” and click the icon that symbolizes a delete
Step 6 : Once a confirmation dialog box has been prompted select the “Delete” button to proceed or “Cancel” to return back
Once these instructions are followed you will not be able to view the relevant asset anymore
